Lahui- Means nation, tribe or group of people alike. Our brand represents the likeness between people who paddle regardless of their discipline. (stand up, kneeling or prone) Kai- Simply means sea or ocean. Lahui Kai- Together the brand name Lahui Kai was created to combine and represent a variety of ocean paddlers. Adrian and Mick have worked together to design and shape these race winning boards since 2005 and have refined the shape with the input of the undisputed world champion Jamie Mitchell. We have been the leader in board designs and through this have raised competition to the high level it is today, and pushing Jamie Mitchell to breaking many race records on our boards. We designed tested and perfected the 3:1 rudder system over the last 15 race seasons. All our boards are hand shaped by Adrian Birse and glassed with the best epoxy resin and carbon fiber products to be the strongest and lightest for competition. Our 18 ft paddleboard race design is the bench mark for our whole range of paddleboards and SUPs and we are extremely happy with the similarities in the performance throughout. Enjoy the ocean!!!
